Lerace tablet is used to treat seizures. As it is used with other medications to treat the illness, which is called seizures (epilepsy).

The tablet belongs to a class of drug known as anticonvulsants. However, the ingredient which is used in this tablet is Levetiracetam. The generic category of this medicine is Anti-Epileptic.

Uses
Lerace tablet is used to treat, control, improve and prevent the disease called seizures.
However, it is used in combination with other medications to treat (brain disorder) partial seizures, without or with secondary generalization.
Moreover, the tablet is used to treat Myoclonic Seizures, Focal Aware or Simple Partial Seizure, Juvenile Myoclonic Epilepsy, Temporal Lobe Epilepsy, Secondarily Generalized Seizures and Tonic-colonic Seizures.
It is used to treat seizures (epilepsy).
How does it work
It works by decreasing or lessening the number of seizures the patients have.

How to use
The tablet is used as directed by the doctor. The patient should read and follow the instruction given on the leaflet of the tablet.
The tablet should be taken by mouth with food. The tablet should be properly swallowed with water. Do not chew or crush the tablet.
The tablet is usually consumed twice a day, about twelve hours apart.
Dosage
Dosage for Myoclonic Seizures
For Adults: 500 mg of the tablet should be consumed every 12 hours.

Dosage for Partial Onset Seizure
For Adults: 500 mg of a tablet should be taken every 12 hours. It may increase after 2 weeks, but the dose may not exceed to 3000 mg in a day.

For Generalized Tonic-Clonic Seizures
For Adults: take 500 mg of a tablet every 12 hours.

The dose may increase every two weeks by 500 mg dose to 1500 mg every twelve hours.
