Some major precautions should always be taken before the intake of any medicine. Some questions regarding the precautions include, can a breastfeeding mom or mom-to-be consume it or not?
However, the overdose of this tablet for pregnant ladies may risk the mental and physical growth of the child. According to NSAID, this drug may pass into breast milk; hence, it should be avoided by breastfeeding mothers.
Other precautions that should be taken is for the person who is allergic to meloxicam drug. The person allergic to meloxicam tablet should not take it in any condition.
Overdosage of any tablet may be harmful. Hence, this tablet should not be taken more than the dosage prescribed by the physician as it may cause life-thrusting risk and can also damage liver-kidney functions.
Alike any other medicine, this medicine should be kept away from the reach of children and should only be given until prescribed.
Tell your doctor/Pharmacist your history of, Aspirin-sensitive asthma, Liver disease, Stomach/Intestine/Esophagus problems (such as bleeding, ulcers, recurring heartburn), History of heart attack, Hypertension, Stroke, Anemia, Bleeding/Clotting problems, Nasal polyps. It is not recommended for use during the first and last trimesters of pregnancy due to possible harm to the unborn baby and interference with normal labor/delivery.
